Welcome to the August 2020 newsletter about Nx, the open-source toolkit for monorepo development.

Recent Nx Updates

We released Nx 10.1 this week with 66 bugs fixed! Nx 10.1 also includes some new features such as an update to Next, Jest, and improved NestJS Schematics! In case you missed it, we released Nx 10 last month and you can find more details in our latest blog post.

For those that have not had time yet to update to Nx 10, a lot of features and bug fixes were backported into Nx 9.6. We improved the performance of workspace analysis and cache management by 4x! 

Upcoming in Nx

The Nx Cloud team recently spent an entire week collaborating on exciting new features for the Nx Cloud platform which will be landing soon. Nx Cloud will soon give you more insight about individual runs by showing them in the analytics dashboard! You will also be able to share your workspace with your team, allowing others to view and manage the workspace. Likewise, the Nx team will also be spending an entire week collaborating where we will focus on exciting new features! We look forward to adding those exciting new features in Nx 10.2!

We are astounded by the amount of work the community has done to extend the capabilities of Nx through Plugins and by sharing your Nx knowledge!

• Diana Rodriguez started working on an Nx plugin for Python.
• Bram Borggreve started working on an Nx plugin for Go.
• Showpad shared how Nx allows them to drive innovation by using playground apps.
• Bram Borggreve wrote a series on building NestJS APIs with Nx.
• Jorge Cano talked about how Scully simplified their build process with Nx during our office hours.
